Vilhelm von Kuckelshaiber

From the hills of Nordland comes one of the most famous man in northern Empire. This hardy adventurer has been roaming the rural areas of Empire for a long time. He's known as an adventurer and mercenary to others and as womanizer and rogue to others. Most people think this man only as a legend as most of his doings are seen as too much for one man to achieve. Certain stories also tell that Vilhelm has Norscan blood in his veins and that has turned him into chaos. But as most people how have heard of him know that he fought against the forces of Archaon during the Storm of Chaos he's commonly seen more like a hero. The People how actually have seen von Kuckelshaiber tell that he's a tall man with a piercing eyes and commonding voice.

The Daily Empire Gets Going!

After an argument that lead to nowhere the producers of The Daily Empire decided to stay with this sunking ship. At least for now. As new stories follow the The Daily Empire will publish them as soon as possible. Due use of easy printing and "free" paper provided by the Brethren of the Lighthouse the paper can be sold with a low price of under four silvers!

Through this autumn the paper will follow the travels of one Redemund de'Molay - the founder of Redemund's Guild - and his entrourage. We'll propably also see some news from all over the Old World as well as little personal interviews with the residents of Empire.

Welcome back!

Marienburg

Henlyn Teuber (M)
Guild Master of the Brethren of Lighthousen in Marienburg. A Cosy fellow who has family all around the Empire. After numerous favours from Redemund Teuber finally was convinced that de Molay would make a good member in the Brethren and decided to became his patron.

Jander Lebengut (M) Toll-keeper from Kemberpad. Side of powerful flatulance and overall bad smell an unhonest person. Bleeded Redemund dry with taxes when his entouragé entered Marienburg.

Ortolf Hoch (M) Inn-keeper of the Blue Feather (which is located in Suiddock). Also a smelly fellow with numerous warts. His wife is a Tilean singer called Selena.

Orwin Haintz (M)

An old navigator from the Brotherhood of Seaman and Pilots. Tried to con party by collecting taxes before entering the docks of Marienburg. Knows the names and domiciles of the characters.

Armande Merville (M) A Bretonnian knight with an unknown coat of arms of red dragon. Challenged Sir Jacén into a duel at Hoogbrug Bridge. And was beaten down in a matter of seconds. The Challenge was due the order from his master Gautier La Párouse who was trying to give Sir Jacén a warning. Needless to say but it might have failed.

Luitpold Rheden (M)

This ugly man lives in Guilderveld at the up-stairs of his shop of gunpowder weapons and is somehow connected to Von Haagen family. Seems to be a coward and apparently is a member of an unknown cult. Vanished from the city after Monet broke into his house and removed some items hence indicating that someone had been in the house.

Angaliel Tallaindeloth (F)
elf
As an ageless matriach of her family Lady Angaliel was like a vision of Lady of the Lake to Chevaliér Jacén. She contacted Sir Jacén because her daughter has gone missing and is possible mixed with the users of Black Lotus.

Crispijn von Haagen (M)

Son of one of the most influental families of Marienburg. Despite lacking a foul smell of most marienburgers Crispijn gives an impression of being a nasty person.

And as always the first impression proved to be true. Crispijn was a member of a cult serving a Khaine in an elven made dungeon under the the streets of Suiddocks. Apparently there was somekind of a daemon trapped into a well in the cave. As the group encountered Crispijn in the dungeon he was eating human flesh and carving new slices to cook from the missing elven maiden Sir Jacén was tracking. The Group stormed in, captured Crispijn and gave him to House Tallaindeloth who promised to "take care" of him

Tuersveld (M) Landlord of the Red Rooster inn. Even though is quite old (for and oldworlder) Tuersveld is still muscular and covered with old scar. Which might have something to do whit his allegted history as a pirate.

dead
"Boni" Groenewoud (M)

Huge man who runs a butcher-shop at Guilderweld. Very nice fellow who sells excellent sausages. From the notes found in the caves of the cult of Stormfels the party realised that "Boni" was involved in the use of Black Lotus.

Redemund and Monet went to his shop to asks about the missing elf-maiden and Groenewoud saw a way to increase his "wares". After an unsuccesful druging attempt Groenewoud almost his entire arm ripped of by Redemund's war-dog. The Blood-hungry cannibal-butcher didn't give a skaven's behind and attacked Redemund and Monet who by Ranald's luck managed to kill the enormous man.

After studying Groenewoud's appartment they realised that he was a member of some sinister cult and had a nice and cosy workroom with dead people hanging from hooks.

dead
Bonifatius Rijker (M)

Middle-aged priest of Manaan who summoned a wave of seawater to flush down the pirate-bullies who attacked Redemund and Dashiel. After a tip from Bonifatius the party found the hiding place of the Cult of Stormfels under the Deedeswelde graveyard in Kruiersmoor. Unfortunately they also found Bonifatius Rijker from those caves all carved up with strange and unholy symbols. Quite possibly the priest of Manaan was used in somekind of ritual to honor the Dark Gods - who had even left a little suprise in form of a minor daemon in his stomach.

Mercer (M)

Check - Henchmen

dead
Kataswaran (M)

The owner of a drug-den called Golden Lotus. According to rumors he's from Ind. This old and thin business man is cruel and deciesive crook whit no value for the life of others.

While searching leads about a missing elven maiden the group broke in to Golden Lotus and found evidences of Khaine-worshiping. During the resulting ambush to question Kataswaran he was killed by the group but not until he managed to weave a dark spell and vomit a stream of blood which burned Sir Jacén like acid almost resulting to his dead also.

Rutger Holtzmann (M) Young novice of the cult of Ulric. Has strong features as well as fast mind and good memory.

Helga Vosstrom (F) Large and welcoming woman who owns and runs the "Hog and Sow" tavern in Kruiersmoor. By the looks of her tavern Helga has an unhealty fixation to pigs.

(From Game Master's Toolkit)

Alfred Palecake (M)
halfling

Garrulous fellow who likes his pig in the pie and weed in the pipe. Alfred and his mates are regulars at the Hog and Sow as their breed the pigs that Mrs. Vosstrom serves there.

Evidently managed to make wrong people angry for he was cast of from the cliffs of Kruiersmoor to Reik in a barrel after being rolled in tar and feathers. From where he was fished on the groups boat while they were sneaking out of Marienburg.

Pal Koster (M)

Quite an old man who is possibly even a bigger drunk than Dashiel. Doesn't crawl out from his cottage at the Deedesvelde Graveyard very often and is more afraid of the knights who come after the undead than the undead themselves.

(From Marienburg - Sold Down the River)

Seiger Bergmann (M) Check - Henchmen

Harcourt Lestonnac (M) This priest of Manann was assigned to lead the purification of the caves used by Cult of Stormfels. He's and elderly and experienced man with a pearl-nosering. If the rumors about him are to be believed he likes to "hunt" the members of the Cult of Stormfels as they would be nothing but seacreatures to prey. True or nor Lestonnac turned out to be a member of the Brotherhood of Purity.

Helena Kuefer (F) Owner and madame of "Ox's Horn" - a brothel for elderly prostitues at Suiddock. An old, bitter and aggressive woman who thinks worst of everyone she meets.

Ulgunda Mordheimer (F) Server of wines in Ox's Horn. Even though Ulgunda seems to be an compulsive cleaner she's usually painted red and leaves red stains everywhere she goes.

Vision of Chaos

The Press is MAJORLY over-worked but still managed to get back to work. Currently we're still searching for a best and easiest way to distribute our messages and before we can make our mind updates will be limited to very a few.

But don't be afraid children of the Empire.
Due various ramblings of madmen we're able to introduce to you

Visions of Chaos

Still majorly unfinished Visions of Chaos is (currently) a tool for GMs. It generates an NPC with an push of a button. It's currently quite simple and so no help/tutorial has been made yet.

Basicly you just run it, click "GENERATE" to ahm... generate a NPC. If it looks nice just click "SAVE" and a file named after NPC's name is generated into folder "NPC_Saved". That's it. Simple but very effective.

If you like you can alter the lists as you like. They can be found from "NPC_Lists"-folder. Just write whatever you like on a separate line and the program just might decide to use it.

There're some problems still. Basicly because the program is being made for PC and for MAC at the same time. None of those problems should be serious. Graphics still suck.

So why to post it before it's even nearly finished?

For comments ofcourse! We have been making this program every now and then and are losing our perspective for it. So please! Give us feed back so we can work on this and have it out to the world.

THIS PROGRAM IS AND WILL BE ABSOLUTELY FREE!
It does not have basicly anything to do with Warhammer as it is. Some refenrences might occure but no challenge to current owners of WFRP franchise is intended. So PLEASE if you this is in any way against anything inform me.

Secret Meeting

Due lack of time our corresponders didn't manage to post out the news about this nights meeting of Guild Redemund. Even though it has come to our attention that the Guild really is going to make an influence to Altdorf this very evening. We'll report later how it all went.

Printers' Strike

The Editors and printers of the Daily Empire haven't decided yet if to use this form of newsletter to distribute their message. Other options (like Joomla! and personal web sites) have been raised and they are being thought through.

Also this weeks meeting of Guild Redemund might be cancelled due to some mix up with the Brethren of Lighthouse. They might need Redemund to cast lights. We're following the situation and might report back when more info can be accessed.
